STEP 1: Using the Love-to-Do Work Worksheet, employees identify their top 3 “love-to-do” work actions.
This work should be the projects, assignments, tasks, challenges, etc., that create energy and excitement within their day or work-week.
Note: If the employee could design a “dream job”, these work actions would be what the employee would spend most of their time doing.
STEP 2: With your employee, discuss each “love-to-do” work action and identify the current projects, initiatives, and/or responsibilities within the team or organization that would tap into the “love-to-do” work action.
STEP 3: Determine what steps you and the employee can take to increase the employee’s “love-to-do” work by changing projects, assignments, work load, or responsibilities for the employee.
Note: Be sure to revisit the Love-to-Do Work Worksheet to evaluate how well the employee has been able to apply their “love-to-do” work actions to various projects and initiatives within the team and/or the organization.
Determine if there are additional actions that must be taken to ensure the employee is able to perform their “love-to-do” work.
