SOLUTION:

Branding Who You Are 

PURPOSE: CAPTURE, DESCRIBE, and BRAND the critical components of your personal brand—WHO You ARE.

Time: 1 Hour

STEP 1: Have your employee complete the Branding WHO You ARE worksheet outlining the following:

  • Capture key capabilities, accomplishments, and experiences
  • Describe how these “Brand Components” add value for customers, co-workers, and the organization
  • Outline or select key branding actions which can be taken to increase your personal brand

STEP 2: Meet with your employee to review and discuss the ideas. 

STEP 3: Based on the discussion, work with the employee to create a 30 second “elevator speech” designed to share the team member’s personal brand with others as part of his or her branding action plan.

NOTE: Creating a brand is not about a one-time event... It’s an active process of branding to shape a desired image and clarify the distinctive components you have to offer an organization, customers, and co-workers.

Periodically review the Branding WHO You ARE Worksheet for upgrades and discuss the impact made by the branding actions.
