Time: 1 Hour
STEP 1: Ask your employee to complete a Performance Line of Sight Profile.
STEP 2: Together, begin to discuss the areas of the Performance Line-of-Sight Profile:
- ACTIONS—Current Actions, New Actions, Actions which have been stopped
- RESULTS—Key Results Achieved individually or collaboratively
- DESIRED OUTCOMES—What makes working (Taking Action and Achieving Results) worthwhile for the individual?
STEP 3: In the discussion, begin to answer the following questions:
- Are the ACTIONS which must be taken to deliver results clear? Doable?
- If the employee performs the actions... How likely is it to achieve RESULTS?
- If the employee performs the actions AND achieves the desired results, how likely is it that the DESIRED OUTCOMES will be realized?
STEP 4: What actions can be taken by the employee or manager to create a tighter line-of-sight between ACTIONS-RESULTS-DESIRED OUTCOMES?
