Someone I Don't Know

PURPOSE: Team members meet with a co-worker they don’t know well to learn about the person’s role, background, and personal hobbies. 

Time: 30 Minutes

STEP 1: Ask your team members to identify a co-worker they don’t know well.

STEP 2: Team members should schedule a time to have lunch or grab a cup of coffee with the co-worker they don’t know.

STEP 3: During the meeting, team members should take turns talking about the following:

  1. Previous job experiences
  2. Current role on the team
  3. Career goals
  4. Personal hobbies and activities

STEP 4: After the two team members meet, they should provide a brief summary of what they learned in the next team meeting.
