Feedback For Me

PURPOSE: Solicit feedback on the actions you have taken to improve your feedback capabilities.

Time: 1 Hour - 2 Hours

STEP 1: Identify up to 5 people who can give you feedback on your feedback actions, and send them the following email:

I have chosen to take action to improve my feedback skills and would like some help from you. In the next 30 to 45 days, I’d like to follow-up with you to receive feedback on my feedback performance. When we talk, I will ask you the following questions:

  • What feedback actions have you seen me perform?
  • What impact have my actions created for individuals, the team, and/or the organization?
  • What improvement ideas do you have for me?

Thank you for your help. I look forward to speaking with you soon.

STEP 2: Identify a follow-up date when you will ask each person for feedback. Record the date on the Feedback for Me worksheet.

STEP 3: At the time of your follow-up dates, schedule a 15 minute discussion with each person to receive feedback on your feedback actions.

STEP 4: After receiving feedback, record the feedback on the Feedback for Me worksheet. Be sure to thank each person for his or her time and willingness to provide you feedback on your feedback actions.

STEP 5: Based on the feedback you received, ask yourself the following:

  • What feedback actions do I need to do more of?
  • What actions do I need to do less of?

What additional actions should I integrate into my feedback improvement plan?
