PURPOSE: Select an area in which the team received partial, mixed, or no information, and create a Team Talk Story to “set the record” straight.

Time: < 30 Minutes 

STEP 1: Identify a team or organization issue the team received partial, mixed, or no information on. 

STEP 2: As a team, using the statements below, write a Team Talk Story for your manager to help set the “record straight”. 

In the past there was ________ situation, and most people thought _______. As everyone discussed the history surrounding ________ and  ________ recent events, they would always end up thinking ________.  What everyone doesn’t know is ______ and _______. You see, the future of our      organization requires ________ and ________. Without these capabilities, we will not achieve ________results. The _______ situation impacts us in ________ and ________ ways. For our team and the organization to be successful, people need to do more of _______ and less of ________.  What I will be doing to help make this happen is ________, and what I need from you to make this happen is _______.  The End.

STEP 3: Read your Team Talk Story in a team meeting.  Team members should ask questions to get clarification until they have a solid understand of the actual situation.
