SOLUTION:

Walk the Talk Audit

PURPOSE: In each team meeting, perform a quick audit to determine if the team’s actions were consistent with the team values, goals, and priorities

Time: 30 Minutes

STEP 1: For the next 60 to 90 days, make the last agenda item of any team meeting or conference call the Walk-the-Talk Audit.

STEP 2: At the end of each meeting, as a team, spend 5 minutes discussing the following question:

We're our actions and decisions during this meeting consistent or inconsistent with our team values, priorities, and/or goals?

(e.g., We say customer service is important, but all of our time was focused on how the new changes would impact team members versus our customers.)

Note: If the team’s values, priorities, and goals are unclear, spend time discussing them before starting the Walk-the-Talk Audits.
