Resource Discussion

PURPOSE: Perform a “Resource Discussion” as a team to determine what technology resources the team needs in order to achieve their goals and work priorities, as well as increase their level of performance.

Time: 30 Minutes 

STEP 1: Schedule a “Resource Discussion” with the team.

STEP 2: During the discussion, the team should discuss the following

  1. Team goals and objectives
  2. The technology resources needed to successfully deliver each goal/objective
  3. When each technology resource is needed
  4. Actions needed to acquire the technology resource 

STEP 3: As a team be sure to:

  • Determine the level of importance for each resource
  • Outline a plan to obtain the resource
  • Identify alternative solutions for requested resources that cannot be obtained at this time due to budget or other limitations
