STEP 1: In a team meeting, record the organization’s mission, strategy, or key initiatives on a flip chart or dry erase board, as well as each team member’s name.
STEP 2: Each team member should record their individual goals and work priorities that directly impact the organization’s success.
STEP 3: Review the “Strategy Goal Grid” and discuss the following:
- Does each team member make a significant contribution to the organization’s mission, strategy, and key initiatives?
- What actions can the team take to increase how it supports the organization’s mission, strategy, and key initiatives?
- What actions should team members take to increase how they support the organization’s success?
