Time: 30 Minutes
STEP 1: Give the Let Them Go Worksheet to your employee.
STEP 2: Ask your employee to identify one to two decisions, actions, or events they have a concern about.
Have your employee record the following:
- A brief outline of the decision or event
- The impact this decision or event created for the employee
STEP 3: In a discussion, ask your employee to talk about each decision or event and the impact created. Be sure to focus on creating an understanding of the employee’s perspective.
STEP 4: Based on the decision, action, or event, determine the following:
- What YOU can do
- What the EMPLOYEE can do
- What YOU AND the EMPLOYEE can do TOGETHER
STEP 5: Share what CAN and CAN’T be done and discuss WHY with the employee.
