Brand You For Recognition

PURPOSE: With your employee, create an “elevator speech” to share with senior leaders, peers, and co-workers, which highlights their skills, capabilities and accomplishments within the organization.

Time: 2 Hours

STEP 1: With your employee, complete the Brand You for Recognition worksheet outlining the following for your employee:

  1. Current projects and deliverables
  2. How these projects and deliverables benefit the organization
  3. Recent successes and accomplishments

STEP 2: Work to create a 30 second “elevator speech”. The purpose of the “elevator speech” is to create a brief summary of the employee’s projects and deliverables, recent successes, and accomplishments.

STEP 3: The employee should practice the “elevator speech” out loud to you, trusted peers, or co-workers who can give helpful feedback. Make any needed upgrades to refine the “elevator speech”.
