Time: 30 Minutes
STEP 1: Each week, think about the meetings, people interactions, and phone calls you had during the week. For each interaction, determine the following:
- Your level of feelings during the event
- Your level of actions in response to the event
STEP 2: Using the Red Zone Worksheet, chart each interaction based on your level of feelings and actions. Place the interaction in the appropriate quadrant.
STEP 3: Once your interactions are mapped on the chart, think about the following:
- In which quadrant are most of your interactions?
- What events fall in the Red Zone? Is there a connection between the situations?
- What situations are easy for you to handle?
- Do certain events (e.g., face-to-face meetings or budget discussions) trigger more emotion?
STEP 4: Based on your Red Zone Review, determine what actions you can take in the following week to reduce your number of Red Zone events.
