SOLUTION:

Rearview Mirror

PURPOSE: Pick an area in your life that you want to do a rearview mirror assessment. For the steps below, I will use “nutrition” as the example.

Time: < 30 Minutes

STEP 1: To assess how you are doing with your nutrition, write down what you ate today, as well as, what you chose not to eat. If you wanted a hamburger, but chose to have an organic chicken salad instead, write down that statement.

STEP 2: Write down what you ate over the last several days (or write down what you eat over the next 7 days, whichever is easier).

STEP 3: Circle all the foods and drinks that are helpful to move you forward on your desired LIFEDriver. (If you decided on egg whites rather than fried eggs with biscuits and gravy, circle the egg whites).

STEP 4: Determine how you can do more of the circled things. Would buying a NutriBullet help so you can have a smoothie each morning or when you get home from work? Can you take a baggie of nuts and fruit to put into oatmeal at work for breakfast? Determine your plan and make it happen. Be true to who you are and who you want to be. Hold yourself accountable and take charge of you health.
