Time: < 30 Minutes
STEP 1: Identify a tough decision and/or conversation that you either currently or in the near future need to make/have.
STEP 2: Jot down notes (or make mental ones) of what you want to say or how you want to act in keeping with your values, commitments, and beliefs.
STEP 3: Stand in front of a mirror and state the decision that you need to make
- Say with conviction what you are going to say/do during the interaction or decision-making process.
- This process allows you to say it, hear how it sounds, and reinforce confidence in yourself saying it or making that decision.
- Repeat it as many times as necessary
STEP 4: Ask yourself: By making this decision and/or having this conversation/interaction, am I being true to myself, my values, and what I want to stand for?
STEP 5: If not, reflect on why you are not making the choice and consider the pros and cons of this decision.
