SOLUTION:

Don't Be So Hard on Yourself

PURPOSE: Focus on the things you do very well… not only on the areas where you aren’t perfect or are currently working (or needing to improve).

Time: < 30 Minutes

STEP 1: Make a list of things that you do well. Think of every role you play (parent, friend, boss, co-worker, aunt/uncle, neighbor, spouse, etc.) and write down what you do well in each role.

STEP 2: As you write them out, you may recognize a theme regarding what you do especially well. Consider if you have the opportunity to do those things right now and how you can increase that skill or behavior.

STEP 3: Consider utilizing your list and turning your strengths into positive affirmations that you can review each morning and evening to remind yourself that you have some AMAZING qualities! When you start to sweat the small stuff, remind yourself of this list and learn to Let It Go.
