SOLUTION:

Personal Actions
Self-Assessment

PURPOSE: Identify the actions you need to do “more of” and “less of” in order to improve your personal actions and alleviate stress.

Time: 30 Minutes

STEP 1: Review the situations on the Personal Actions Self-Assessment worksheet and think about your personal actions and behaviors.

STEP 2: For each situation, determine how you currently react to the situation. Think about what really happens most of the time, not what you would like to have happen, or what happens some of the time. If someone was a “fly on-the-wall” what would they see? Record your responses on the Personal Actions Self-Assessment worksheet.

STEP 3: Now think about how you could handle the situations in the future in order to improve your reactions. Record these actions on the worksheet.

STEP 4: Periodically review your Personal Actions Self-Assessment to determine if you were able to increase the actions you need to do “more of” and reduce or eliminate the actions you need to do “less of”.

Note: We judge ourselves mostly by our intentions—however; others judge us mostly by our actions.
