SOLUTION:

Fly the
Friendly Skies

PURPOSE: Quit putting off tomorrow what you can do today. Time is precious, so go see that friend or family member that needs you or one whom you haven’t seen in a while.

Time: 30 Minutes - 1 Hour

STEP 1: Determine who you want to go see and when would be most convenient. Is it a parent or an old friend from school or one that moved to a new city you’ve always wanted to visit? Often times, we have friends or family members that still live in our hometowns or in cities that we have lived in previously. Take a weekend trip to visit someone special and reminisce on shared past experiences and enjoy your time together.

STEP 2: Reach out to the person with dates and availability to see what is convenient. You might suggest a trip over a long weekend so you have enough time to spend with that person and not have to be stressed about potentially missing work. If you plan your trip enough time in advance, you might enjoy visiting that person over a holiday. Once you have some dates decided on, check flights and prices to see what is feasible.

STEP 3: Book your trip and then plan to bring something special for the person you are visiting – this could be an old yearbook, a handwritten letter you’ve written with memories of you two, or something you respect and/or appreciate about them. Look for exciting things to do in or near their city that you will enjoy. If you’re visiting your hometown or a place you used to live, walk down memory lane by going to the places and restaurants that have fun memories attached for both of you.
