PURPOSE: Provide positive input into your brain to ensure positive results. This may include healing your body naturally, strengthening your mental well-being and making time for meditation or reading positive affirmations.

Time: < 30 Minutes 

STEP 1: Take a mental inventory of what you bombarded your mind with during the last week. Was it inspiring, uplifting music, podcasts, positive affirmations and the like? Or was it emotionally charged news, political arguments, scary shows or movies, and negative self-talk? All of this bleakness can wreak havoc on your mindset, stress levels, health and sleep. Make a list of both positive and negative stimuli and determine what you want to limit or eliminate from your daily routine.

STEP 2: Once you’ve made your decision, find a healthy alternative for yourself, as some routines will be difficult to stop right away. If you are used to reviewing Facebook every night before bed and you get anxious, frustrated or hurt, that is not a good way to start a night of restful sleep. Instead, try meditation, say a prayer, take a stroll around the block, practice some light yoga or read a book that won’t get your adrenaline pumping, unless it’s from laughing so hard. Positive, relaxing activities such as these will increase your happiness and satisfaction and will leave you feeling better both mentally and physically.

STEP 3: As you start enjoying positive results from the adjustments made to your daily routine, share with others what you are decreasing/eliminating and how much BETTER AND MORE PRODUCTIVE your time has become. Share the wealth with those you love or who may need it most.
