STEP 1: Review the Best Hours for Me Worksheet and highlight the following:
- A Hours: These are the ideal hours I would like to work
- B Hours: These are hours I can work
- C Hours: These are hours I cannot work
STEP 2: Review your schedule for the previous three weeks and record on the worksheet how many of your hours worked (in the last 3 weeks) were A Hours, B Hours, and C Hours.
STEP 3: After completing The Best Hours for Me worksheet, discuss with your boss your A Hours, B Hours, and C Hours and your schedule for the previous three weeks.
STEP 4: Together you and your boss/scheduler discuss what actions can be taken to increase or maintain the number of A Hours and eliminate or significantly decrease the number of C Hours.
