STEP 1: Stop dreading the thought of getting out of bed in the morning (it is a self-limiting) thought. Set your mind to it and can change your brain and the way you think. Focus on a positive mindset to improve your overall health and outlook on life…starting with getting up in the morning.
STEP 2: In the beginning, place your alarm far enough away from your bed that you have to get up to shut it off…and then, stay up. No crawling back to bed for 5 minutes.
STEP 3: Once you hear your alarm go off…begin your count down from 5-4-3-2-1…Blast off, get up, turn that alarm off and start your day. This one little trick can help reprogram your brain to take back control of your life and change this habit.
STEP 4: Once out of bed, make your bed immediately and set the day up to be organized. Make some coffee or do a few yoga poses or jumping jacks to get your blood pumping and wake up your brain. Your day is off to a great start.
