STEP 1: Give the What’s Up? worksheet to your employee.
STEP 2: Ask your employee to think about the three areas on the What’s Up? Worksheet and jot down questions, issues, concerns, or events the employee wants to know more about:
- I Think…I’ve been thinking about the following.
- Next Steps…We’re doing “X”, what are the next steps?
- Tell Me More...I want to know more about “X” situation or issue.
STEP 3: Once your employee has prepared the What’s Up? worksheet, schedule some time to discuss the issues, situations, and/or concerns.
STEP 4: Based on the discussion, determine what actions you and or the employee must take to resolve an issue, get more information, or take action to improve a situation.
