Time: 30 Minutes
STEP 1: This is a great step that needs no preparation. All you need is a few minutes to sit, reign in your thoughts, and pray/meditate. Find a quiet place (a park, your car, your bathtub/shower, etc.) and ask for guidance on how to manage the challenges in life and guide you to increased peace. Getting thoughts out of your head and on paper or giving it to God/the universe can bring a sense of calm by relieving you of the burden of holding on to it in your headspace.
STEP 2: If God/the universe leads you, reach out to others and ask for support to manage these challenges. Chances are you are not alone; some of your friends may have gone through a similar experience in the past and have words of wisdom, strength, or guidance to comfort you.
STEP 3: Ask for it, say it out loud and believe it to be true. Our brains and our God/universe are both amazing and can do immeasurably more than we can fathom or conceive. But we must give ourselves and God credit and believe.
STEP 4: Set a goal to do this AT LEAST once a week while you are sitting up and alert. Self-growth and overcoming challenges take time…approach it as a marathon, not a sprint. Expend your energy accordingly and be kind to yourself along the way.
