STEP 1: Decide when is a reasonable time to stop working/checking emails (or social media if that is your challenge) and make it a hard stop at that time each day.
STEP 2: Let those that you work with know about the adjustment you are making so they can plan accordingly. Let them know that if it is an emergency, they can call you.
STEP 3: Let your friends and/or family members know about the change so they can both respect it and hold you accountable to it.
STEP 4: If you have someone that does not abide by your rule, talk with them 1:1 to set expectations and maintain or reinforce your boundaries.
