SOLUTION:

Music Therapy

PURPOSE: Surround yourself with others who enjoy the same music you do and plan to go to a concert. Approach it as a restorative experience—don’t be afraid to throw your hands in the air, dance, or close your eyes and let the music envelop you.

Time: < 30 Minutes

STEP 1Look for musicians you enjoy or ask a friend for a few recommendations. Review the calendar of your favorite venues (or those that you’ve been wanting to visit) to see what is coming up that could brighten your day. Think of friends or family who can enjoy it with you.

STEP 2: Have you wanted to visit a new city or see a friend in a different state? Look up performers playing in those areas and make a weekend of it.

STEP 3: Listen to their music in the days before the concert to get you excited and in the music mood.

STEP 4: Enjoy your concert and buy a fun hat or t-shirt as a reminder of this special evening.

STEP 5: Share your pictures of the concert on social media, and jot down your moments and fun details to look back on the experience.
