Time: 30 Minutes - 1 Hour
STEP 1: Decide what day you are going to sleep in (and then allow yourself to be excited about it).
STEP 2: Do what is necessary to make your room conducive to sleeping in or relaxing. Pull down the blinds, get a fan to drown out any noise, keep the A/C cool or the heat low. Also consider turning your phone on Do Not Disturb and/or Airplane mode so you won’t have constant beeping and flashing that may tempt you to get up and look at it.
STEP 3: If necessary, tell any friends/family what you’ll be doing, so a) they don’t worry about you and b) they won’t call you and disturb you.
STEP 4: Enjoy your rest.
STEP 5: If you wake up at your normal time, lay there and either stretch, think, pray or be thankful for all of your blessings, pushing out any thoughts that will bring about worry or concern. By doing so, you might just drift off again, which is exactly the point.
