STEP 1: Identify and record your current projects, tasks, and assignments on the Challenge Plan Worksheet.
STEP 2: For each project, identify the level of challenge the project provides to you.
Level of Challenge:
The level of difficulty a project provides; the extent to which a project “stretches” a team member’s capabilities; the ability of a project to develop new skills versus relying on current skills.

STEP 3: Circle any project or group of tasks rated a Level 1 or Level 2 and select a Challenge Option you and your manager can implement to increase the level of challenge for that project or group of tasks.
STEP 4: Circle the selected Challenge Options to implement.
STEP 5: For each selected Challenge Option, determine the actions you and your manager must take to implement the option.
STEP 6: Meet with your manager to review your Challenge Plan and make any needed upgrades. Be sure you are clear on the actions you both must take to increase the level of challenge you experience in your work.
