STEP 1: In a team meeting, facilitate a group discussion using the following questions?
- What are our “team beliefs” regarding skill development?
- Why is it important for each of us to continue building our skills and capabilities?
- What makes a good skill development opportunity?
- What are the various ways we can build our skills and capabilities?
- What development resources are available to each of us?
- What “development expectations” are we accountable for?
STEP 2: Based on the team discussion, identify the actions you must take, as well as the actions team members must take to ensure each person is able to identify and implement at least one development opportunity.
