STEP 1: Identify work-related stress sources (High workload, tight deadlines, or unclear expectations). List 2–3 triggers and their impact (e.g., “Affects sleep”).
STEP 2:Â Explore company resources (EAP, flexible hours)Â for stress management. Note options like workload adjustments or mental health support in your spreadsheet or document.
STEP 3:Â Schedule a 15-minute meeting with your manager to discuss:
“I’d like regular check-ins to manage stress and support my well-being.”
Suggest monthly 30-minute talks. Document approval and feedback in your document.
STEP 4: During each meeting share your stressors, and request the type of support you're looking for. If you're unsure of the type of support you need, ask your manager what they suggest. Use this as a collaborative opportunity.Â
NOTE: Continue to meet on a monthly basis and revisit how your solutions have made an impact, and make any needed adjustments. Communication is key!Â
