STEP 1: Identify a contact person for the team’s main customers or clients.Â
STEP 2: Contact the customer/client and share how you’d like your team to understand the impact they create for them. Give the customer/client the Customer Recognition Sheet. Ask the customer/client to fill out the sheet and identify the following:
- On a day-to-day, week-to-week basis, what does the team do for the client?
- What impact do these actions create?
- Is there something we do as a team that is distinctive to us?
- Is there anything we do that other companies who provide the same service don’t provide?
You can either give the sheet to the customer or client in person, fax it, send it in the mail, or use it as a discussion guide during a phone call.
STEP 3: After receiving the “Customer Recognition," thank the customer/client for his or her feedback.Â
STEP 4: In a team meeting, share the results with your team.
