STEP 1: With the employee, identify and record the following on the Performance NOW and in the FUTURE Worksheet:
- Current results achieved by the employee
- Current demonstrated actions that support the employee’s role
- Current skills and capabilities of the team member
- Current areas of knowledge
- Current level of experience or experiences which have been successfully performed
STEP 2: Discuss with the employee the organization’s FUTURE level of performance required to be considered a top performer:
- FUTURE Results = ?
- FUTURE Actions = ?
- FUTURE Skills and Capabilities = ?
- FUTURE Knowledge = ?
- FUTURE Experience = ?
STEP 3: Based on the difference between the “NOW Performance” and the “FUTURE Performance”, identify the actions which can be taken to make sure the team member is delivering high performing results in the future.
