SOLUTION:

Take a Class

PURPOSE: Take a class to learn about financial freedom (think Dave Ramsey) or a class to increase your sales (if you are in a sales position) to give you the tools you need to meet your commitments and make a positive impact on your bottom line.

Time: 30 Minutes - 1 Hour

STEP 1: Research courses in your area to help improve your financial situation or impact your job in a positive way. Many churches host a Financial Freedom workshop based on Dave Ramsey’s teaching and books.

STEP 2: Go to the class with an open mind. Most of the ideas they’ll share will be very doable and down to earth. However, to save money or get out of debt, you will likely be asked to make some adjustments that will require some self-control and patience.

STEP 3: Cut out or take a picture of your goal or a motivating image. Put it on your mirror, dashboard, as the wallpaper on your phone, or the calendar that you look at every day, etc. You can also create a visual image to track your progress. It’s motivating to see your debt decreasing or your wealth/portfolio increasing.

STEP 4: Practice what the class instructors ask you to do. It may be out of your comfort zone, but they’ve seen thousands of success stories by their proven methods. It works.

STEP 5: Set a date to reach your goal. You may need to adjust your date a bit, but THAT’S OKAY! You have a goal to shoot for… something more concrete than “someday” in your mind.
