Determine what actions must be taken to support the career option. Options would include staying in the current role, an upward movement, and doing something different.
STEP 2: Talk through each of the three career options and the actions that are required to implement each option with your manager or leader.
STEP 3: Determine which career option is best for you right now.
STEP 4: Summarize the next steps you and your leader must take to help you be successful.
STEP 5: Be sure to inform your manager or leader periodically what you have been able to successfully implement to support your career option.
