PURPOSECreate and post a “Mission Goal Grid” showing how each team member’s goals and work priorities contribute to the organization’s purpose and mission.

Time: < 1 Hour

STEP 1: In a team meeting, record the organization’s mission, strategy, or key initiatives on a flip chart or dry erase board. Add each team member’s name.

STEP 2: Each team member should record his or her individual goals and work priorities that directly impact the organization’s success.

STEP 3: Review the “Mission Goal Grid” and discuss the following:

  1. Does each team member make a significant contribution to the organization’s mission, strategy, and key initiatives?
  2. What actions can the team take to increase how it supports the organization’s mission, strategy, and key initiatives?
  3. What actions should team members take to increase how they support the organization’s success?
