SOLUTION:

No Excuses

PURPOSE: Don’t let fear keep you from taking steps towards creating your incredible life. REAL change comes only from REAL action…and not fear.

Time: < 30 Minutes

STEP 1: Living an Incredible LIFE can take focus, dedication, and an effort to not make too many excuses. As you look at what you’d like to adjust in your life, don’t try to make too many changes at once. Simply get started on something so you don’t stay stuck in your current circumstances. DECIDE what you want to change in your life, DETERMINE how you’re going to do it, and have the DRIVE to push yourself to make the necessary adjustments and accomplish your goal.

STEP 2: Determine a date for when you’re going to make a change. Then figure out what you need to do differently in your current circumstances to make it happen. Outline the change by creating a SMART Goal to help you achieve your goal.

STEP 3: Enlist an accountability partner to

  1. work on it with you
  2. ask you for progress updates until completion
  3. provide positive or negative reinforcement based on your progress

You may need to pay for these services, if you can’t utilize a friend or family member.

STEP 4: Do what you set your mind to. You will feel a huge sense of accomplishment every time you complete a task. The more you take positive steps toward a goal, the more opportunity there is for it to become a healthy habit. Consider setting up a reward system for yourself to keep you motivated to continue.

STEP 5: Keep up the great work. If you miss a day (or maybe a season based on your circumstances), don’t beat yourself up. Every day is a new day.
