Time: < 30 Minutes
STEP 1: Think about your body and your mind. What part of you needs some TLC? Is your body feeling tense? Go get that massage or facial you’ve been wanting... or purchase a diffuser for your home that relaxes, invigorates, and improves your mood with quality essential oils. Consider taking a hike, getting a new haircut, or simply doing something nice for you.
STEP 2: Determine one, two, or three things that need to be taken care of this month, then take time right now to schedule them and get them on the calendar. Once you have your appointments confirmed, hold yourself accountable to schedule your life around them and fill your ME time with something you enjoy.
STEP 3: Are there other things that you need to do, but simply don’t have time to schedule this month? Then put a reminder note in your planner for next month. Prioritize the things that are taking up time in your life. Rank your obligations and hobbies, considering how important they are to your happiness, as well as, your ability to achieve the things you need and want in your life.
STEP 4: Enjoy the time you are taking for yourself. DON’T FEEL GUILTY! You are worth it, and if you don’t take care of yourself, who will? The more you can manage you, the better you can manage other areas of your life.
STEP 5: After you’ve completed something on your ME time list schedule another one. It may be a week, month or quarter later, but get it on the calendar. You’ll be glad that you did.
