STEP 1: Ask yourself if you need some support for grief, addiction, divorce or another difficult situation. Look for groups to support you by researching your area, talking to someone at your church, asking your friends or social media connections (if appropriate).
STEP 2: Reach out to a couple of different groups to see what they are about, when they meet, the age group of those attending, etc.—anything that will help you make a decision. You might even try attending one or two to see if it is a fit. If not, keep trying.
STEP 3: Once you find one, fully embrace it. Utilize the services they have and get the help you need. You will likely make some great friends in the process.
