SOLUTION:

Branch Out

PURPOSE: Find a hobby/event that you and your loved one can enjoy together. Or find an event that you enjoy, attend it alone and make some connections with other singles!

Time: 30 Minutes - 1 Hour

STEP 1: Think about what you and your spouse enjoys doing (a hobby, sport, a type of event, etc.) If your significant other loves golf, concerts, skeet shooting, or yoga, try it out for yourself!

STEP 2: Research upcoming opportunities for you to participate in this hobby/event.

STEP 3: Talk to your loved one about attending with them (or maybe surprise them) and schedule it. They will likely be happy that you are showing an interest in their hobby and will share more details about it with you. Or, if you are flying solo, schedule the event at a time that works for you!

STEP 4: Tell your spouse/significant other that you are excited about participating with them, learning more about their interests, and watching them in action. This may be a great bonding experience for the two of you. Or, if you are flying solo, it will be a great growing opportunity for yourself! It’s a win-win situation!

STEP 5: Attend the event/hobby. Although it may not be your favorite, it will mean a lot to them that you have offered to go and who knows, you may find something you two can do together for a lifetime. If you are attending alone, go into the event with an open mind. You may, or may not find someone you are interested in, but at least you are putting the time and energy into this LIFEDriver!
