Time: 1 - 2 Hours
STEP 1: Spend some time identifying a few relationships that are the most meaningful to you—your parents, spouse/significant other, children, or good friends.
STEP 2: Consider a fun way to celebrate this relationship. You can cook dinner, go see a movie or spend the afternoon outdoors at the park. Make any necessary arrangements and be sure to reach out to this person and find a time that works well for you both.
STEP 3: Before the event, really think about these relationships and identify how each one has positively impacted your world. Write it down if you would like to and share these thoughts and feelings with that person. They will likely reciprocate.
STEP 4: During your celebration spend time talking through the following questions together:
- How does our relationship positively impact our lives?
- How does our relationship make a positive impact on our abilities to create other strong relationships?
- What do we need to do more of in order to continue to nurture and grow this relationship?
