Time: 30 Minutes - 1 Hour
STEP 1: Consider one of the following options to challenge your status quo:
Option 1: Take a new route – Are you ever on a road that you pass 100 times and think, “I wonder where that goes?” Don’t wonder any longer. Turn in the next time you drive by it and see where it takes you.
Option 2: Go somewhere – Pick a town near or far to explore. Spend a day in the town doing your favorite hobby or pastime. This could be walking around the city center or a local park, having a meal at an engaging restaurant or café, or taking time to discover what makes this place significant.
Option 3: While on vacation, walk or drive in a random direction without a purposeful destination—see where you take yourself.
STEP 2: Whichever option you choose, document your adventure in the JOURNEYing Guide and spend a few minutes reflecting on your experience.
How did it feel to explore a new, unfamiliar environment? What left you feeling empowered? Nervous? What did it feel like to be in complete control of your experience?
