STEP 1Choose your destination – near or far. Stay close by visiting a local park or hiking trail or hop in the car and drive a couple hours to reach an expansive vista or commit to a weekend trip to a far off destination with exciting new terrain.

STEP 2: Make a plan and budget for your trip—consider carpooling to save on gas and to be friendly to the environment and pack a picnic lunch to save money and extend your time in nature.

STEP 3: Take in the sites and scenery of your getaway. Reflect upon the new memories you’re making and how you’re focusing on what’s important and real in your life.
