SOLUTION:

Set Achievable
Goals

PURPOSE: Set realistic goals so you don’t set yourself up for frustration and/or failure.  Set SMART (Specific, Measurable, Achievable, Relevant, Time Bound) goals to help you manage your expectations effectively.

Time: 30 Minutes

STEP 1: Determine your end goal. What goal do you want to reach and by which date?  Break it down by week to see what that looks like to determine if is achievable and realistic.

STEP 2: Decide what you may need to make this a successful goal. Do you need new running shoes? A gym membership? An accountability partner? A yoga schedule? Hand weights? Get what you need so you won’t have any obstacles getting in your way.

STEP 3: Set a start date (today!) and keep track of your accomplishments so you can see the progress you are making. Record how you feel, how you look, what improvements you’ve observed, etc.

STEP 4: Once you’ve achieved your initial goal, set another, more challenging one. This will keep you energized and your momentum strong.

Use Solution Template: SMART Goals
