Time: 30 Minutes - 1 Hour
STEP 1: Make your “step increase” a game by competing with others, or with yourself using your FitBit. Shoot for 10,000 steps a day. It’s amazing what we’ll do to get a little computer activated “attaboy!” Have some fun rewards to motivate yourself or others to take part. You can even roll this out as a company-wide wellness initiative.
STEP 2: Take the stairs rather than the elevator. Start with one flight of stairs and then increase it every few days.
STEP 3: Walk around the block while on a phone call.
STEP 4: Jump on the trampoline with your kids.
STEP 5: Go to a park to eat lunch and then take a walk afterwards. This way, you get some vitamin D and increase your step count while getting some fresh oxygen. If you eat healthy you’ll feel GREAT about your lunch time well spent.
