Time: < 30 Minutes
STEP 1: Research other trails, neighborhoods or parks where you can expand your horizons and break up the monotony of walking the usual path. Ask neighbors where they like to go or Google nearby parks. You might also ask someone new to join you.
STEP 2: Once you determine where you’ll go, let a loved one know where you’ll be in case of emergency.
STEP 3: Notice nature. Take note of what you see, hear, and smell differently. You and your pet will enjoy a change of scenery, and you may see new things that entice you to return.
STEP 4: Try 2-3 different routes and rotate them so you don’t get bored.
STEP 5: Invite someone to go with you and bring a Frisbee or football if someone is joining you.
