SOLUTION:

Trippin'

PURPOSE: Take a trip to decrease your stress, allow yourself time to think, and maybe rekindle some romance. Whatever your goal, go find it!

Time: 2 Hours

STEP 1: Take a trip to a new place. Google top ten beaches, campsites, hotels, destinations, etc. Talk to others to see which places they recommend and why. Remember: taking a trip doesn’t have to break the bank. If you get creative, or plan to visit friends you can cut costs and even have mini-adventures all while saving money!

STEP 2: Determine where you’re going to go and if you are going to have someone go with you. Consider dates, weather, funds, check availability at the locations, as well as, flights if appropriate.

STEP 3: Take a picture of where you’re headed and put it on your mirror, dashboard, or somewhere you’ll see it each day. Get excited and do a countdown to your departure date.

STEP 4: Make a list of things to do while you are there. Maybe it’s scheduling a tour, reading a book or two, taking a hike, visiting a museum, or even catching up on sleep. Take time to consider the best way to utilize your time. Going on a trip doesn’t mean you need to do or see every “tourist attraction”—enjoy your time wandering around and exploring, meeting locals or engaging with the culture in a cheap way. Spend time reconnecting with yourself in a new environment—you’re very likely to learn a thing or two.

STEP 5: Enjoy your trip and have a blast. Write some of your favorite memories and insights, refer back to your entries when you are struggling or when you want to remember the fun times and personal growth you experienced on your adventure.
