STEP 1: Think about the following:
- What are the Top 3 actions you must take in order to accomplish your goal(s)?
- What impact will each action create for you and those around you?
- In which sequence should you complete the actions?
STEP 2: Share these Top 3 actions with those who will be supporting you in your journey.
STEP 3: Ask your advisor (friend, spouse, significant other, mentor, coach, accountability partner, etc.) if he or she thinks different actions should be part of your Top 3. If yes, discuss the importance of the new action and make any necessary changes to the Top 3.
STEP 4: If necessary, with help from your advisor, determine your completion date or frequency for each action.
STEP 5: Outline the actions where you’ll need additional resources or support to successfully complete your Top 3 actions. Enlist their support now and make them aware of your Top 3 and appropriate timeframe.
