Time: 30 Minutes - 1 Hour
STEP 1: Figure out what groups are available to join in your area. Talk to your local place of worship to see if there are any life groups, bible studies, or support groups you can join. If nothing peaks your interest, do some research online to see what different opportunities are available to you in your area. If you are having trouble finding a local group to join, look for something online! There are so many groups that meet via Zoom each week to discuss common themes, and give support to one another as the embark on their spiritual journey.
STEP 2: After you have selected a group that you would like to join, reach out to whomever is in charge and get signed up! Express what you are looking to gain out of joining this group to ensure that it is the right fit for you.
STEP 3: Congratulations! You have taken the first step towards strengthening and growing your spiritual connection. Figure out what day of the week your group meets, and put it in your calendar or planner. As the day you meet approaches, make sure you don’t schedule anything that conflicts with your meeting time. Remember, growing and strengthening your relationship takes time and dedication, so you have to put forward the energy and focus to make it happen!
STEP 4: As you get ready to meet with your new group, set an intention for your meeting. This will serve as a foundation to build off of as you have conversations, and share what you are working on. Allow your new group to serve as a supportive network of individuals that are all working towards similar goals.
REMEMBER: Surrounding yourself with people who are also trying to grow and strengthen their spiritual relationship will aid in your experience. (If you want to go west, you can’t get in a car driving east).
