SOLUTION:

Do More Best Work

PURPOSEIdentify actions both you and your team members can take to increase the amount of time team members spend doing their “best work”.

Time: < 1 Hour

STEP 1: Each team member identifies their greatest strength using the following format:

Team members perform the following:

  1. Identify a personal strength

(e.g., handling customer complaints)

  1. Describe how the strength can help the team’s performance

(e.g., resolve customer issues faster and with better results)

  1. Outline how other team members can capitalize on the strength

(e.g., provide recommendations for handling difficult customer situations)

STEP 2: In a team meeting, team members share their person strength, how it can help the team, and how others can capitalize on the strength. Determine if the team has already tapped into these skills and identify how they can use them going forward.

STEP 3: Create a summary of the team members’ greatest strengths to remind team members how they can capitalize on each other’s strengths. Where possible, share with other departments to increase potential opportunities for each member.
