Time: < 30 Minutes
STEP 1: When your head hits the pillow each night, reflect upon ideas that have come into your head (knowing that some of them you immediately dismissed, likely due to fear). Think about a specific idea and think through it in detail…How could I make this happen? Who could I enlist for help? What do I need to do first? Second? Why did I dismiss it the first time? When can I begin? When you start asking yourself these questions, you change it from a fleeting thought to an idea that now has some legs.
STEP 2: Make a list of the answers to your questions above and mentally walk through the process to make “this” happen. “This” could be how a conversation needs to go, or how to develop a better procedure, or how to ask for a promotion/new role, or how to be open to a potential relationship.
STEP 3: Once you’ve determined the steps that need to be taken, schedule step one as quickly as possible to get started.
STEP 4: Once you start doing a daily reflection, you will realize that a lot of great ideas come your way and shouldn’t be dismissed. Your confidence and life will be so much more enriched if you act on those ideas, and not let them fall by the wayside.
