My Listening Skills 

PURPOSE: Improve your listening skills by evaluating your personal interactions. Remember, “God gave us two ears and only one mouth, so we can listen twice as much as we speak”.

Time: < 30 Minutes 

STEP 1: Review the listening actions on the My Listening Skills worksheet.

STEP 2: For each listening action, think about the last three times you listened to a family member, peer, or friend, and determine which rating best describes your past actions and behaviors. Record your score.

STEP 3: Total your listening action scores and review your rating.

STEP 4: Based on your rating, identify what actions you can take to in order improve your listening skills.
