Power of Positive Affirmations

PURPOSE: Use positive affirmations to keep your mind focused on accomplishing your priorities and achieving your goals, from self confidence to career success, health, love, and abundance.

Time: < 30 Minutes

STEP 1: Make a list of positive affirmations. These may be statements that are currently true about yourself, OR what you would like to bring into your world. Keep them all in one place so you can refer to them daily. An example of a positive affirmation could be, “I have the power to control my weight through healthy eating and exercise”. Repeating these affirmations out loud throughout the day will prime your brain for change—watch as your affirmations lead you to make impactful changes in your life.

STEP 2: Set aside a specific time for your affirmations. They are much less powerful if you rush through them on the way out the door.

STEP 3: Stand in front of a mirror and look yourself in the eyes. Smile, if it feels natural. Before you begin saying your affirmations, take three deep breaths, inhaling and exhaling to a count of ten.

STEP 4: Out loud, say your list of positive affirmations slowly and clearly. Repeat the affirmation(s) two to four times, really focusing on the meaning of each word…You can do this all at one time or spread it out throughout the day. Try starting and ending the day with them.

STEP 5: Take another three deep breaths, allowing your body to absorb the positive feeling of the affirmation(s). Repeat your positive affirmation(s) to yourself everyday to help turn them into reality.
